Three cycles, one single rule
In dry heat, it is temperature and time together that give the result: the hotter it runs, the shorter the cycle. The Jupiter offers the three reference combinations.
- 200 °C for 30 minutes: a busy day, fast turnover of instruments.
- 180 °C for 60 minutes: the everyday setting, between two runs of appointments.
- 160 °C for 150 minutes: a long cycle, started at the end of the day on a full batch.
The drying mode changes the routine
At 80 °C the unit does not sterilize: it dries. After ultrasonic cleaning, instruments come out wet, and residual moisture disturbs the temperature rise of the cycle. A drying pass before the cycle makes the result repeatable from one time to the next.
What horizontal loading changes
Instruments lie flat on 7 levels rather than piled into a tub. Hot air circulates between the trays, the fan evens it out, and every piece gets the same temperature. The chamber measures 23.3 × 31 × 16.2 cm in a 53.5 × 39 × 26.5 cm unit.
With or without kraft pouches
Pouches extend sterility once the cycle is over: instruments stay protected until they are opened in front of the client. Without a pouch the Jupiter still works, but sterility ends when the door opens. Depending on pouch size, the chamber takes 14 to 49 of them.
Maintenance
- Wait for complete cooling before doing anything inside the chamber.
- Wipe the trays and the interior with a dry cloth, unit unplugged.
- Keep the fan grille clear to maintain air circulation.
